Our Story
Where It All Began
The owners, Fiona & Scott Auton have been involved in and around agriculture all their lives. They both come from proud farming families, which is why they are so passionate about sustainable food pathways. Knowing where your food comes from together with the development of opportunities in rural communities is why they have created The House Paddock. Together, with their three children they are committed to the North East of Tasmania and the possibilities it holds for them together.

The team who create the menu and creations from our kitchen are a collection of experienced mums and people who just love to cook. We’ve been receiving ‘constructive’ feedback on our recipes for years!
Local knowledge
If you are a tourist arriving in the North East of Tasmania, the team have extensive knowledge about some of the best places to visit as well as the hidden gems of our area. Call in for a coffee, stock up on supplies and we can help you with your travel plans.
Paddock to Plate
Wherever possible we will use and promote local produce and products. We are the launch-pad for quality local farmers, makers and creators to turn their ‘side-hustle’ into something more sustainable.
